Sitting at a table at the Golden Gate Chinese restaurant near our house, waiting for our order. There are much better chinese food places, but the food is cheap here… Continue reading “Chinese Food, Christmas, and Getting Ready for a Trip”
Lansdale – North Wales – Philadelphia – Newark – Los Angeles – Santa Monica
We made it to California!
I’m sitting in a Cafe in Santa Monica, trying to get Dropbox to sync.
I really should have brought along our hotspot, but I forgot to pack it. I’ve got a couple projects I need to get to clients, so here I sit. I was hoping our United flight would have had Wifi, but no such luck. The place Tamika and I are staying at is supposed to have Wifi, but I wasn’t able to get it hooked up, unfortunately. Sleeplessness, Silverbacks, and a Beautiful Bank
Today was trying. I was up very late last night working on website for the Civilian arm of the Coast Guard and for National Black AIDs Day. Stayed up until around 2. And of course, the next day I was exhausted. Continue reading “Sleeplessness, Silverbacks, and a Beautiful Bank”
Hyundais, Workaholics, and a Warm Leather Couch
I’m neither working on several websites for Zerflin, nor watching any Star Trek Voyager right now. Which, in and of itself, is more surprising that it should be. Continue reading “Hyundais, Workaholics, and a Warm Leather Couch”
Gallery, Bromo, Iron Man
Today was a good day.
Tamika and I got up, had breakfast, and headed out. Our intention was to take the kids to the B&O Railroad museum, but it didn’t turn out that way. Continue reading “Gallery, Bromo, Iron Man”
30
Today, I am 30.
I can’t really say I’ve been breathlessly awaiting this moment. The older I get, the more I’m aware of it, and I don’t want to be aware of it. Responsibilities already nearly crush me in the day to day, and the idea that I’m limited and my clock is winding down…
Tamika made a good point, though. Continue reading “30”
Who Said What in Chicago
Early on Wednesday morning, I flew to Chicago.
Patrick Siren, a friend of mine and owner of the design agency Spectr, had moved to Chicago three months ago, and after seeing the success of the first Who Said What Art Show opening at Peace and a Cup of Joe, found a diner across the street from his apartment that was willing to display the art. Continue reading “Who Said What in Chicago”
Hastings, Snow, and Earaches
On Friday night, because Tamika and I decided to stay for an extra day, we were invited for a dinner party at the Hastings. Ron and Anita Hasting have been friends and supporters of my parents for a long time. When I was little, I would go over to their house, and play with their boys Aaron and Ryan, and hang out and eat sandwiches with Binky and Gram, their grandparents, who lived in the house next door. The Big Party
Today was the day of the Party. Beth, Eric, Nick and my parents had been planning it for a while, and the day had finally arrived.
We all woke up pretty late, and just kind of lazed about. I helped Nya build a house with her new Lego set. She and Arion have taken to them quite well, and have begun building all sorts of things. Nick and Beth both got them some pretty cool sets; a recycling truck for Nya and a police wagon for Arion. Continue reading “The Big Party”
Writing journals
So, I have this beautiful iPad that Tamika gave me for my birthday last year.
And the majority of the time, I spend playing this game called Indestructible.
I don’t play games often, but when I do, I become an expert at them. I play every possible scenario, explore every last corner, and then I’m done. Then I go for 1-2 years without playing games.
Indestructible, however, doesn’t have an end. They just keep updating it. New weapons, new cars, new challenges. Continue reading “Writing journals”
